Dunn Lewis Youth Development Foundation
16 June 2008: The Member for Gilmore, Joanna Gash, has announced Australian Government funding of $40,000 for the Dunn and Lewis Youth Development Foundation.

Mrs Gash said the foundation has secured the grant under the Mental Health Non-Government Organisation Capacity Building Grants Program.

The funds will be used to help the Dunn and Lewis Youth Development Foundation establish grief and loss counselling services at the under-construction Dunn and Lewis Youth Centre in Ulladulla.

“The team behind the Dunn and Lewis centre and foundation has worked tirelessly on the project and the Australian Government has underlined its commitment to the success of the project,” Mrs Gash said.

“Youth counselling will be a significant service offered at the centre.

“There are many ways to causes of grief and loss and our young people are not immune to the feelings.

“It is refreshing to hear Gayle Dunn and her team are taking a broad-spectrum approach to youth services in Ulladulla.”

The Capacity Building Grants program is designed to help mental health non-government organisations meet increased demand for services
