Craig
and Danny's death in the Bali
bombings in 2002 was the
catalyst in identifying the
lack of support and resources
available for the youth. The
complex has been designed by
the youth and community, the
Dunn Lewis Youth Development
Foundation
will
be funding the trauma retreat
and other Australian youth
projects and activities.
We want a better world to
evolve and the only way is
though teaching our youths
about decisions
The
multi trauma retreat and other
specialised counseling,
training courses evolved
through personal experiences
of young people local and
intestate, identifying the
lack of resources to help
traumatised youth. It will be
for all young people aged 5
25 years old Australia
wide and will cover all areas
of trauma from incidents to
acts of terror. After the 2nd
Bail bombings in 2005 many
young people have returned to
depression, fear and
anger.
The
retreat will focus on a
combination of recreational
activities that foster
individual and group
development in the
understanding of bereavement
and combined with sessions of
individual and group
counseling. These retreats
offer a sanctuary for groups
of young people from youth
groups, schools and
individuals from across
Australia and will aim to
provide a controlled
therapeutic environment,
incorporating a unique balance
of recreational activities and
guided therapy.
Teachers, friends and youth
workers that accompany each
group will also be given
valuable insights and tools
and how to take the coping
mechanisms they have learnt
back to their home towns. The
Foundation will fund all
expenses associated with the
multi-trauma counseling,
travel and accommodation.

comfortable and nurture their
talents. Along with facilities
for youth to enhance their
social, personal and
vocational
skills.
The Youth Programs will offer
opportunities to all young
people that help them lead
better lives through
awareness. This is a unique
and challenging project that
has inspired thousands of
people to work together in
making tomorrow's future
better by helping provide a
better life for today's
children. Assisting young
Australians and providing them
with much needed direction for
their future .... Helping
Tomorrow's Adults become
today's Youths. Our
Mission is to provide access
to services and create new
opportunities for all youth to
live their best lives.
