'Getting It Together' Work-Life Programs

These courses primarily work with small groups of young people referred from local organisations (however we also accept other young people). The program is suitable for young people who are unsure of what they might do with their educational-employment future and helps provide them with a highly responsive program to address their needs in this area.

Some young people coming into the program are reaching adulthood and this course provides them with an opportunity to really consider their future desires, outside the mounting demands to 'just get some job'. The program also assists people who are facing life obstacles preventing them from being able to focus on themselves and their vocational needs and wants.

The course includes vocational interest assessment and interpersonal skills training. By finding and harnessing the intrinsic interests of the individual, we are improving long term employment outcomes. We often use drama, experiential group work, and art to work on moving forward into the future.

Our Foundation works on a Continuous Care Model. This means that once a client comes into a course or program, we are able to refer them through to our other services as is appropriate. We are also very happy to collaborate with agencies to take into account the work they are doing with their clients and the outcomes they are hoping to achieve.
