Dunn & Lewis Youth Programs
The Foundation recognises that youth programs offered in isolation are of limited value in the long term. Our assessment and case management plans are designed to ensure continuity of service and to ensure that activities that are offered are appropriate to the needs of the individual involved. We will not train young people then leave them to their own devices to be successful or fail alone. We will offer the opportunity to continue involvement in their lives and assist them over any new hurdles that arise.

How we work
Policy and planning
The Foundation aims to provide professional, accountable and ethical services for young people. As a growing organisation, we feel that it is essential that our programs and services are grounded in policies which will ensure the best possible outcomes for young people and we have developed a Policy and Procedure Manual and our Strategic and Operational Plans. We will actively work towards improving this policy platform and planning processes.
Staffing and professional development
We value our staff and volunteers and aim to ensure that everyone involved in the Foundation receives the training and support to enable them to perform their duties in an exceptional manner. We will develop volunteer training programs and ensure that staff are engaged in continual professional development.
Youth participation
We will implement strategies to increase the participation of young people in the Foundation's decision making processes to assist in ensuring services are relevant and to assist young people to develop a range of skills to empower and raise self esteem.
Recognising and accrediting achievements of youth
The Foundation is committed to recognising and rewarding the achievements of young people who participate in our programs and activities. We will take every opportunity to ensure that this recognition takes the form of a nationally accredited certificate or diploma which complies with the Australian Qualifications Framework.
